So when I saw the redemptions hit the market for this card, I really didn't think I'd ever get one of them. Then the redemptions started to get mailed out and one or two made its way to eBay.... and finally one dipped low enough in price I could snatch it up! Check it out!
SWEEEEET! Great looking card and numbered /10! Woo hoo! It's a "mini" auto and came sealed in a protective wrapper by itself from Topps, but I ripped it open and got it into a sleeve. Awesome card, I love it. Topps deciding to finally put Biggio in some post-career products has worked out great for my Biggio collection, been able to add a lot this year!

How About Some REAL GQ?
What a long week! Even though this is a schedule post that I'm writing on Wednesday, I already know that by Saturday I'll feel like it's been a long week. Oy, work has kicked my butt this week. Although there was some great news on Tuesday with the promise of a promotion and raise once I move to Amarillo, so that's a plus.
On to more cards from recent purchases... today, an addition long over due to my Gypsy Queen autograph collection! This one shouldn't have been as hard as it has been to track down but I finally got it at a price I could stomach! Behold:
WOW! What a great card! With GQ being released this past week, it was a stark reminder to me of how much I LOVE the original set, and am not a huge fan of the past 3 renditions since. I believe the original 2011 GQ set will go down as one of the most underrated sets released. I digress... this card brings me down to just 3 autographs needed for the full auto set: Koufax, Aaron and Ryan Howard. How freakin' sweet is that?!?!?! Some day.... oh some day... I've seen a few Aaron's floating around eBay, but it's been a LOOOOOOOONG time since I've seen a Koufax. If any of you have a lead on one, please let me know. Ryan Howard? Man, I've seen a few pop up and a couple went CHEAP but I just missed the auctions or someone jumped on a BIN before I could. His is the only sticker auto in the set and the most frustrating reasonably priced one for me to try and locate!
Hopefully I track them all three down soon enough and I can be one of only a handful of people who have this set completed. I've seen a youtube video of one guy who has managed to get them all, and I've heard there are one or two other people who've managed it as well. I wonder how many people have 42 of them and only need Koufax/Aaron.

Card #7 of the eBay Show Off
Should have mentioned that yesterday's post was the final Bagwell.... the next card is probably one of my favorite pick-ups lately because I was able to get it for a REALLY low price and it's numbered out of just /25!
Isn't it amazing???? And the look on Nolan's face is just great, a fabulous mix of constipation and annoyance... It is a sticker auto, but at least it's a nice auto on a well designed card. It shines a bit more in person with the copper look.Alright, that wraps up the original "ebay" section of the purchase, I have a few more to show off that were COMC purchases and an eBay pick up or two... stay tuned!

Card #5 and #6 in the Countdown
After careful consideration, I decided to post these two cards together! Since one is the parallel of the other, I figured it'd be cool to see them side by side!
Wow, one of these is numbered /300 and the other /100. Don't really care which is which because they both are pretty awesome! I have no clue where either come from on a early 2000's Astros jersey, but who cares.... pretty freakin' sweet!Have a great Thursday everyone! I'll be headed to Amarillo this weekend to scope out a place to live again, so posts through the weekend will be scheduled, but lots of great cards for sure!

Card #4 from The Bay of E
Hmmm... maybe I should have posted this one on Sunday... oh well... too late now! Apparently last week there was a guy who had a bunch of Bagwell cards with nice patches and said, "Screw it, I'm selling them." All of these Bagwells that I'm showing off in this series came from the same seller. Anyways, check out this beauty:
What a patch! Great looking card all around. This makes a nice addition to the binder for sure. Thanks for stopping by everyone...
On a side note, I'm getting the itch to maybe start group breaking again. The only thing I'm worried about at this point is whether I have the readership levels again to fill breaks. I'll have to go look through my Blogger stats and see if I'm still getting a decent amount of web hits... it may have to wait until I get moved up to Amarillo, doing group breaks from there may be my best bet for busting boxes, as their LCS stinks to high heaven.
Alright, have a good day everyone!

Card #3 - eBay Series
A couple more cards showed up, looks like this series may end up running 9 days! CELEBRATE!!!!!
Ok, settle down people, they are just baseball cards...
And #3!
Here's another one where I have the non-patch parallel in the binder already! I love what they TRIED to do here, the cutout of the patch should read "Sweet Swatches" but it's dang near impossible to see that, look like two blobs. Great idea Fleer, horrible follow through. Still.... I LOVE this card, gold seems along both sides of the picture, great picture of Bags. Love it.
We're wandering dangerously close to this thing being "daily" again... lol...

Card Number 2 in the eBay Series
Here we go with day #2 of this series. This one brings along our first patch (of many...). My Jeff Bagwell collection is probably the weakest of my PC amongst the big names of Ryan, Biggio, Bagwell and Berkman. So it was great to add a few of him lately. Here's a SWEEET patch:
What's great about this card as well is that I have the "base" level of this relic that is just a plain white swatch, this one is obviously a slick patch and it numbered out of /300! These two cards will look just awesome next to each other in a binder!

The First of Many eBay posts... #1
Ok, so here's the deal... I spent a nice little chunk of cash (less than $100 total) on 7 auctions on eBay... so what else has 7 days? A WEEK!!!! So I'll be dragging this out for a week showing off some cards, in the mean time, there are a couple of other cards I'm waiting on in the mail so these posts may get interrupted... so without further ado, here's card #1 from the lot...
I actually went in on three auctions for this card and two if it's low numbered parallels, but alas I only one this one! The third auction was numbered out of /15 and had three relics. Darn my luck. But, this one is still pretty dang awesome with all three of the big named guys I collect. Nothing all that special as far as the swatch, but I love the look of this card!

An AMAZING DAY! TRADE NIGHT GALORE!!!! EPIC CARDS OF MOMENTOUS MAGNITUDE WITHIN!!!!
Ok, so trade night was tonight... things got crazy... but before I even get to those things, I picked up the mail along the way and got this AMAZING CARD in from eBay!
Sorry it didn't scan all that well, I kept it in the magnet case! OMG.... AWESOME.... back side:
What an amazing book! I am SUPER pumped to have this in my collection now. Easily the centerpiece of my Biggio collection!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!
And in a separate package, I picked up this nice relic:
I was hoping to pick one of these up for a long time and finally found one at a price I liked and pulled the trigger!
Ok, so that is pretty great and all... here's where it gets crazier... trade night. Lots of product being busted and the wife & I went a little crazy with it being our last trade night in Alabama (most likely we'll be moving to Amarillo in about a month or so...). So the card shop owners have become great friends, and I'm telling you, you'll never find more genuine, honest and great guys. I'm really going to miss them and their shop. They presented me with the following as a thanks for hanging around and spending a ridiculous amount of money over the last 2.75 years:
WHAT?!?!?! Yea, I was floored. I did my best to not completely geek out and be appreciative. These guys have been like brothers to me and they know I've had my eye on this card for about 2 of the 2.75 years I've been here! Wow, awesome card. Can't believe it still. BigHitSportsCards, just an awesome shop.
But like many informercial salesmen I have to say, "But wait, there's more..." There was trade night! Pack wars! Boxes being busted! I won a prize ($50 off my tab) but the bigger thrill was some of the great cards I pulled... from a couple boxes of Triple Threads (the Walker is from a group break and came in the mail today as well):
Lots of great looking cards there! That Giants trio is numbered /9! Anyways, I love Triple Threads and all of the base cards in the boxes were ones I needed as well! If nothing else, I've got myself a bunch of decent trade bait!
Alright, you'd think that's it, but it's not... the wife got to ripping Golden Age and Goodwin... and we pulled this RARE redemption!

WHOA! Lucky!!!!!! We've redeemed it, although instantly regretted it as it may ship right about the time we move, depending on UD speedy-ness. May have to go in an change my address to one where I know it's not going to change between now and then! But a freaking sweeeeeeeeeet stroke of luck.
She didn't do too shabby on the Golden Age either:
Tatum O'Neal! That's the second auto of hers we've pulled, sold the first for $80! Great looking autos, even got a jockey! The relics are sweet too, Grace Kelly, Knute Rockne, Yogi Berra and Barry Williams. That Eve Plumb is a white bordered SP!
I also went with one box of Museum Collection, not the greatest results but definitely more trade bait!!!
That Billingsly is out of just 10 while the Gwynn is out of /25! Not too bad!
Ok, so one more... I picked up a box of 2009 UD Signature Stars just because it was cheap and why the heck not... here's what I got:
Kolten Wong, I've at least heard of him! Tony Wolters, not so much... oh, and Daniel Murphey, not too bad either! Solid box for the price I paid for it.... oh wait, this box guaranteed 4 hits, you say? Where's the 4th hit? Oh, just this catcher from Team USA, have you heard of him?????
AND BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My first ever Bryce Harper auto pull!!!!! Out of a cheap throw away purchase just to open something different! WHOA!!!!! I instantly had a guy asking if I'd trade it away. I don't think so, think I'm holding onto this one for a while!
That'll wrap up today's mail and trade night post. Sorry for all the scans, just couldn't hold back on showing stuff off!!!!!!!!!
If there is anything you're interested in trading for on here, by all means please let me know. And Wes (Jaybarkerfan's Junk), it was great seeing you again tonight at trade night here in Mobile! Had a blast and hope you enjoyed it once again!
Ok, off to try and get some sleep.... wow... what a night!
More Mail... As Promised!
Wow, a post from the Dimwit two days in a row?!?!?!?!? CRAZY! Ok, so I wrote yesterday's and today's posts at the same time but give me credit for writing at least two posts... it's a miracle...
Alright, first up are some awesome cards from north of the border... Canada, eh? CANADA! Where I get an awesome card of a Canadian Astro from Doug at Sportscards from the Dollar Store.
Holy Maple Leaf that is an AWESOME ORANGE CARD of Terry Puhl!!!!! Terry was a great fully time and then utility OF for the Astros for years. Great to get a unique card of a guy who will probably never get a mainstream Topps memorabilia card! The Andre relic card is just plain sweet and the Ryan disk is intimidating... he's starring me down... alright Nolan, starring contest... 1, 2, 3. GO!........................................ ok you win, make that 325 wins for his career...
And the last trade post that was lagging is from new-to-me blogger Matt over at the epically named blog: Bob Walk The Plank. We need more Pirates bloggers!
I'm sure Matt bought/obtained the Appel auto after the Pirates took him two years ago, but then failed to sign. His loss is my gain! That Bagwell is SICK and numbered out of just 47! Why 47? Because Donruss doesn't pander to my OCD's, THAT'S WHY! .... must....have....round... numbers.....
Alright, I'm going to go have a breakdown... you all have a great Saturday.... ebay goodies may start hitting the blog tomorrow.... if you're lucky...

Mail Days Are My Favorite!
I have a huge stack of mail piled up on my computer desk right now! Lots of packages!
So lets get started with a group break package from... well, I can't remember which breaker site I entered this break, but it was a half case of Museum Collection 2014.... there are Bagwell autos in this product! (SHOCKING!!!) So I took a chance... this company rewards you with a pack or two if you go hitless, thus the auto I received in the free pack:
Whoa! A Geno Smith auto out of a free pack! Sweet! And a Bagwell base out of the Museum Collection part of the break... Is it sad I'm just as excited about the Bagwell as I am about the auto?
Next up we have my buddy Jeroen from across the Atlantic, in the wonder land known as Netherlands. I want to go some day, the Dutch seem like such a happy group, and I want to ride some bikes across their country... Jeroen, let's make this happen... haha! Anyways, he sent along a huge stack of Astros, here's the highlights:
I threw Oswalt and Berkman up there since they are officially retiring as Astros in a pre game ceremony tomorrow night! The Wallace auto is pretty sweet and of course I had to find a Bagwell and Biggio to throw in there! Thanks Jeroen!
Next up is Jeff from 2 x 3 Heroes, I'm not sure what I did to deserve these cards, but he said they were long over due, so by all means I'll gladly show them off!
Jeff sent a huge stack 'o Astros so I cherry picked the best ones out! A couple of SWEEEET cards of future Astros major leaguers, Springer and Correa. They certainly impressed in Spring Training. Sweet Bagwell swatch as well! Thanks Jeff!
I'll stop there for now, I've got two more trades to show off! One from Canada and another that I had to walk the plank for! Finally, I'll have a series of posts on some MAJOR PC collection additions, including some highway robbery on eBay for some awesome patches! Stay tuned!

Redeemed!!!!
Got an unexpected package in the mail yesterday from Panini! I had submitted a Jeff Bagwell redemption a little while back from their Pastime set that I bought off eBay!
That my friends is how you do an unlicensed product. Great design. On card autograph. Big open area for the autograph. Find a picture where you can crop it in close and then have his sunglasses rest across the hat logo that would have been obscured anyways. LOVE this card! And that's without even mentioning that it's numbered out of just 75!
