Crazy Thursday... if only it was Crazy Friday...

The Dimwit is ready to go home already... half an hour into the day and he's already about to kick someone in the face. Now, we won't discuss the logistics of the Dimwit actually being able to get his foot that high. Ok, well maybe if the intended target was a "little person", or sitting in a chair... or a "little person" sitting in a chair... but again, we're not discussing it...

So the Dimwit and Hotwit are taking a vacation in June. We're off to NYC for 5 days, on the first day we're there, we will be seeing The Decemberists at Radio City Music Hall. We are WAY excited about it. The other 4 days we are there, we have absolutely NO PLANS... so, what we need from you, loyal readers, is some advice. As we discussed last night, we'd like to go to the Statue of Liberty and MoMA, but we don't want to too many "touristy" things, we'd like to go to some out-of-the-way places...

Anyways, let us know if you have any suggestions...

LATER!

  1. BEST ADVICE: Fear not the subway....it is a way cool thing (other than perhaps the odor).

Take the subway to Brooklyn Heights (Clark Street) then walk back a block or so to the promenade. Super view of the city that you'll recognize from many movies. Cheap Date.

Have dinner in Little Italy (don't forget your pinky ring).

Take really good walking shoes. You will walk a lot!

NY is incredible. Radio City is fabulous and is walking distance from the Carnegie Deli. They only take cash but you must eat there just to see the walls. (Be prepared to eat, the sandwiches are enormous).

Save a few bucks for a Central Park carriage ride. Tell Hotwit to save some too, she may want to come along. :)
